Bruce Lee was known to be a martial artist's martial artist. His street tough background and acting experiences as a child helped him become a movie star icon around the globe.

Bruce Lee

Bruce Lee was born on November 27 1940 in San Francisco. He was born a Scorpio according to the western horoscope and born in the year of the Dragon in the Chinese calendar. He was also born on the hour of the Dragon.

Jeet Kune Do

Almost a year prior, Bruce Lee's parents had lost a son during pregnancy, so this time to confuse the evil spirits, they decided to give Bruce Lee a girl's nickname "Little Phoenix". He was also enrolled in a girl's primary school, although we do not know if this was for the same reason. In Hong Kong the family lived at 218 Nathan Road, Kowloon. Eighteen years later, Bruce Lee would return to the United States, enrolling in the University of Washington as a Philosophy Major. Here he would meet his future wife, and begin teaching the martial arts. He would also pursue his dream of becoming a movie star and continue developing his martial arts. His martial art philosophy would later become known as Jeet Kune Do.

With many attempts to break into Hollywood, Bruce Lee would get a chance at a television show. He would become Cato on the Green Hornet. In Asia, the show would be called, the Cato Show. Bruce Lee would later help develop a show called "Kung Fu" which would become wildly popular. He would not be given the lead row. Frustrated and angry, Bruce Lee would return to Hong Kong to make movies. Several films later, he would make his Hollywood debut with Enter The Dragon. It would be a box office success. Before the debut of the Movie, Bruce Lee would be found dead.
